The Vermilion, Alberta community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Rob and Pam Herzog, beloved husband and wife, who passed away together on May 29, 2026, following a tragic motor vehicle accident near Wainwright. Rob was 54 years old and Pam was 52.

Married for 28 years, Rob and Pam built a life centered on family, love, and unwavering devotion to one another. Their sudden passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of their children, extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing them.

They are lovingly remembered by their children, Megan (Denton) Johnston, Kelsey (Aaron) Chabaylo, and Jared (Sarah) Herzog, as well as their cherished granddaughter, Oaklyn Johnston. Family was at the center of their lives, and they took immense pride in the accomplishments and happiness of their children and grandchild.

Pam is survived by her parents, Harold and Diane Baldwin, her brothers Duane (Erinn) Baldwin, Ryan Baldwin, and Cody Baldwin, along with her chosen sister, Cori (Kris) Maron. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and the deep bonds she formed with both family and friends.

Rob is survived by his siblings Lennie Halfe, Laurie Ganton, Janis (John) Durwael, Bruce (Colleen) Herzog, Rita Lafaut, Nola (Bob) Greenham, and Ken Herzog, as well as sisters-in-law Brenda Herzog and Shirley Herzog. He will be remembered for his dedication to family, strong character, and caring nature.

In addition to their immediate family, Rob and Pam leave behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and close friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared together.

Their lives were also marked by profound love and resilience through loss. They were predeceased by their beloved grandson, Theo James “TJ” Chabaylo, and their niece, Taeya Maron. Rob was also preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Gladys Herzog, brothers Ross, Mark, and Neil Herzog, and brother-in-law Neil Ganton.

As family and friends gather to celebrate their lives, they will remember a couple whose partnership was built on love, commitment, and devotion to those around them. Their legacy will live on through the family they nurtured, the friendships they treasured, and the countless lives they touched with their kindness and generosity.

A Celebration of Life honoring both Rob and Pam Herzog will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Vermilion Regional Centre, 5702 College Drive, where loved ones will come together to share memories and celebrate two lives well lived.

Though gone too soon, Rob and Pam Herzog will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who knew them.
